Structured into the following modules:
Knowledge and understanding. Knowing and having understood the meanings of health, health education, the models for taking charge of chronic diseases, the meaning of integration and the tools, the role of the family and community nurse.
Acquire specific and targeted knowledge of general psychopathology, know the main psychiatric syndromes and pathological addictions and the appropriate tools/methods to detect and manage them, the fundamental elements relating to the organization and legislation in mental health (including describing the historical evolution and legislation on the management of mental disorders and pathological addiction in Italy). Know the repercussions of stigma and prejudice against mental disorder and pathological addiction on health outcomes. Describe the nursing role within the multidisciplinary team working in Mental Health and Addiction Services; Describe the basic principles of therapeutic-rehabilitative intervention for people with signs/symptoms of mental disorder and/or pathological addiction and the related objectives.
Applying knowledge and understanding. Knowing how to apply knowledge by describing the mechanisms that guide social and health policies in the approaches to the health needs of populations and the roles of the professions within these policies. Plan assistance for a person with signs/symptoms of mental disorder and/or pathological addiction (focused assessment, identification of priority nursing diagnoses, formulation of objectives, scheduling of interventions and verification times).
Making judgments. Being able to use the knowledge acquired to develop one's own independent judgment about the main clinical pictures and possible complications. Knowing how to autonomously develop effective care planning. Knowing how to verify the achievement of the planned care objectives.
Communicative skills. Know and use correct and appropriate technical-professional terminology and be able to correctly communicate information relating to assistance problems in the field of community health, mental health and pathological addictions.
Learning skills. Prove to know the main themes of the course and to be able to prepare the Profit Exam by searching for availability, analyzing the contents and assessing the applicability of a guideline, based on the content of the lessons, and the sources suggested.

A) General Psychopathology and elements of most prevalent psychiatric disorders: Schizophrenia spectrum and other psychotic disorders, Depressive and bipolar disorders, Anxiety and trauma and stressor-related disorders, Obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, Feeding and Eating disorders; Elements of Psychopharmacology and Psychotherapy; Mental health legislation and organization. Nursing role, stigma and health outcomes, Nursing assessment and Planning for common care needs in mental health and addictive disorders.
B) The concepts of health promotion, health education, health and therapeutics: aims, recipients, methods and areas of intervention. Social-health integration and its tools. Chronic diseases and management models. The Family and Community Nurse in Italy and in the world. Methods and tools for planning and documenting an educational path. Promotion of self-care skills for disease control and therapeutic adherence. Educational planning for people with chronic pathologies and their caregivers/families.

Lectures, case studies, video tools.
Flipped classrooms with the support of digital presentations and videos, during which students will be invited to form working groups.
During the course elements of gamification will be proposed, which will allow a bonus to the final grade. Various exemplary clinical situations will be presented which the students will have to analyze and finally propose in a group a plan of care.

Exam grade resulting from the integration of multiple modules: the grades of the modules will contribute to the definition of the final grade of the integrated course. The questions will focus on the program covered and will be theoretical. The exam will be taken on the moodle platform. Module scores: 12 points for 3 open questions of the "Community Nursing" module, 6 points for 4 closed questions and 1 open (2 points) for the "Nursing in Mental Health and Addictions" module, 6 points for 6 closed questions of "Psychiatry" and 6 closed questions for "Health Education Interventions". The test is passed by reaching a minimum of 18 overall points, honors are awarded with a score of 30/30 in the written test, the grade includes a rounding up in the sum of the different scores.
