Syllabus

The general objective of the course is to provide knowledge on the meanings of the elements envisaged by the program, their functional/organizational integration with the healthcare reality.
At the end of the course, in accordance with the Dublin Descriptors, in order to pass the exam, the student must demonstrate that:
Knowledge and understanding - Knowing and understanding the meanings of Health, of health education, the models of taking charge of chronic diseases, the meaning of integration and the tools, the role of the Family and Community Nurse.
Applied knowledge and understanding - Knowing how to apply knowledge by describing the mechanisms that guide socio-health policies in the approaches to the health needs of populations and the roles of the professions within these policies.
Making judgments - having developed the ability to reflect on what surrounds the students and what is described in the production of both scientific and everyday life articles.
Communication skills - Knowing how to correctly and appropriately use the technical-professional language to clearly and unambiguously present the knowledge acquired and the reasoning developed.
Ability to learn - Have been able to integrate the information provided in class by independently drawing on authoritative information sources (e.g. textbooks/various articles), as well as being able to self-evaluate one's own level of preparation and one's ability to expression of an organized thought before taking the exam.

Interactive lectures with the aid of PowerPoint presentations, group work, brainstorming, flipped classroom sessions using materials provided in advance, and a Team Based Learning session shared with the Mental Health and Addiction Nursing module (see Teaching Syllabus).

Power Point presentations, links to films and videos relating to the teaching units will be available on the University IT platforms

The written exam, integrated with the other modules of the course, will consist of 6 multiple-choice questions and 3 open-ended questions. The final grade for the integrated exam will be expressed in thirtieths. Multiple-choice questions will be evaluated with 1 point for each correct answer and 0 points for each incorrect answer. Open-ended questions will be evaluated as follows: 2 points for answers demonstrating in-depth and systematic knowledge of the content, mastery of scientific language, reasoning skills, a level of inference with reality, and evidence of individual study; 1 point for answers demonstrating partial knowledge of the content, limited critical thinking, and approximate use of scientific language; 0 points for answers not provided or demonstrating substantial gaps in the content and use of scientific language.
