Aim of the course is to offer to the students the knowledges and the skills to understand and recognize the main benign and malignant blood disease, better understand their pathopysiology and their implication for the oral cavity The course will focus also on the effects that therapies adopted to treat hematological diseases may have on the oral cavity focusing in particilar on mucositis, infections, the effects of dyphosphonates and graft versus host disease

Knowledges of biology, cytology, histology, physiology.

Etiology, patophysiology, clinical presentation, diagnostic workup, prognostic scores, general principles of therapy of the main benign and malignant blood diseases; implications for the oral cavity.

The students during lessons will educated on the epidemiology, pathophysiology, presentation, diagnosis and principle of therapy of the main blood diseases

The students will have an oral test. During this test it will evaluated the level of learning of the main blood diseases and in particular their implications with the oral cavity
