The Course

  • Why choose this course?

    During this six-year degree students will cover basic and medical-surgical subjects and acquire more specialised scientific and theoretical-practical knowledge and skills in dentistry. 90 of the 360 total credits (ECTS/CFU) are awarded for an internship.

  • Educational objectives

    This Course aims to train students to become dentists, a professional that treats the diseases of the mouth and teeth in order to restore and/or maintain the physiological functions of the mouth.

  • Career prospects

    Graduates in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics can work as private practitioners, in public health facilities (hospitals and universities) or in facilities affiliated with the health system.

  • Final examination and degree

    Upon passing the final examination, graduates of the course are qualified to practice dentistry. A practical test (prova pratica valutativa – PPV) is required to assess the professional skills acquired through an internship (tirocinio pratico-valutativo – TPV) completed during the course. The student must also present a thesis under the guidance of a supervisor.
