Knowledge and understanding: The student must acquire knowledge suitable for interpreting signs and symptoms concerning systemic pathologies involving the dental system and the oral mucosa. Know the most frequent pediatric pathologies, and the phases of psychomotor development in the first years of life. Knowing how to deal with care problems typical of the pediatric age.
Applying knowledge and understanding: The student must be able to apply knowledge of anatomy and biochemistry to understand the etiopathogenesis of infectious and inflammatory diseases in children
Making judgements: Students should be able to use the acquired knowledge to develop a personal judgment and decision making approach and an independent critical view of the themes proposed in the course.
Communicative skills: By the end of the course, students will be able to use a proper and appropriate technical-professional terminology to communicate health information effectively.
Learning skills: By the end of the course, students will prove to know the main themes of the course and to be able to prepare the Profit Exam by searching for availability, analyzing the contents and assessing the applicability of a guideline, based on the content of the lessons, and the sources suggested.

Lectures with original material power point or movies, interactive lessons with presentation of clinical cases, execution of rapid, simple diagnostic tests
Any changes to the methods described here, which are necessary to ensure the application of the safety protocols related to the COVID19 emergency, will be communicated on the Department, Study Program and teaching website.
The student's evaluation includes a written test in which 33 multiple choice questions are proposed. The student must demonstrate to be able to have acquired the basic knowledge of the study course.
The score of the exam is attributed by means of a mark expressed out of thirty calculated according to the following scheme: 1 point for each correct question; 0 points for each question left blank; -0.25 points for each wrong question.
To pass the exam (18/30) the student must reach at least the score of 18/30.
To achieve the maximum score (30/30 cum laude), the student must instead reach a score> 30,5
