knowledge of the periodontium and peri-implant tissues. knowledge of means and techniques to reduce peri-implant bone resorption
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: at the end of the course students will have to know and understand the main topics of implant surgery, pre-implant regenerative surgery, treatment of peri-implant diseases
ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: at the end of the course students will have to demonstrate knowledge and ability to understand the fundamental concepts and principles on which implant surgery is based, recognize specific cases and apply the concepts to diagnoses and treatments.
MAKING JUDGMENTS: at the end of the course students must be able to collect and interpret clinically relevant data providing appropriate clinical judgements.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: at the end of the course students must be able to communicate information, ideas and solutions to clinical problems to colleagues, patients and auxiliary staff.
ABILITY TO LEARN: at the end of the course, students will have to apply the knowledge, skills and minimum competences described in the syllabus and demonstrate a sufficient degree of autonomy in learning the updates.

in-depth knowledge of periodontology and surgical periodontology, anatomy of the oral-dental-maxillofacial complex

Prepare the student to deal independently with the most common clinical problems associated with the disease periodontal, and its correlations with other dental branches and the most important systemic diseases and metabolic. In particular, this module will address periodontology applied to implantology.

Possibility to attend the Journal club of oral implantology and regenerative bone surgery which takes place weekly and for implant and regenerative surgery. Link to moodle 2

The exam is conducted with an oral examination to assess the level of knowledge and competence achieved also to improve your learning related to the program topics. 30-30 and praise: excellent knowledge of subjects and excellent language properties; the student is able to apply theoretical knowledge brilliantly to concrete cases and to connect notions promptly. 27-29: good knowledge of subjects, remarkable language properties, good analytical skills; the student is able to apply theoretical knowledge correctly to concrete cases and to connect notions. 24-26: good knowledge of the main subjects, discrete language properties; the student shows an adequate ability to apply theoretical knowledge to concrete cases. 21-23: the student does not show full mastery of the main subjects of the teaching, even if he possesses the fundamental knowledge; it requires the intervention of the teacher to answer correctly the questions; it shows however satisfactory property of language. 18-20: minimum knowledge of the main subjects of teaching and technical language, limited ability to apply theoretical knowledge adequately to concrete cases. <18: the student does not have an acceptable knowledge of the contents of the program.
