The course aims to provide the student with the essential theoretical-practical notions that allow him a systematic and rational approach to the diagnosis and therapy of oral rehabilitation with fixed prostheses with implants, so as to enable him to design and manufacture the most common prosthetic artefacts. . The characteristics and problems of the materials used in the dental practice and dental laboratory in relation to the intended use will be investigated.
D1 - Knowledge and comprehension skills. At the end of the course, the student must be able to diagnosis and plan a correct prosthetic treatment plan.
D2 - Knowledge and understanding skills applied. The student must be able to carry out a detailed examination of the various adhesive or conventional techniques for the application of fixed prostheses on implants. The advantages and disadvantages of the different prosthetic rehabilitations. Particular attention will be paid to the interdisciplinary argumentation skills between the various dental materials and the prosthesis.
D3 - Autonomy of judgment. The student must be able to evaluate, choosing among the various possibilities, which is the most suitable type of prosthesis for a given dental therapy.
D4 - Communication skills. The student must be able to describe the topics covered during the course with adequate language property.
D5-Learning skills. At the end of the course the student must be able to independently deepen the topics covered, and must also be able to transfer the notions to subsequent courses.

The exam is conducted with an oral examination to assess the level of knowledge and competence achieved also to improve your learning related to the program topics. 30-30 and praise: excellent knowledge of subjects and excellent language properties; the student is able to apply theoretical knowledge brilliantly to concrete cases and to connect notions promptly. 27-29: good knowledge of subjects, remarkable language properties, good analytical skills; the student is able to apply theoretical knowledge correctly to concrete cases and to connect notions. 24-26: good knowledge of the main subjects, discrete language properties; the student shows an adequate ability to apply theoretical knowledge to concrete cases. 21-23: the student does not show full mastery of the main subjects of the teaching, even if he possesses the fundamental knowledge; it requires the intervention of the teacher to answer correctly the questions; it shows however satisfactory property of language. 18-20: minimum knowledge of the main subjects of teaching and technical language, limited ability to apply theoretical knowledge adequately to concrete cases. <18: the student does not have an acceptable knowledge of the contents of the program.
