Knowledge and understanding
The student will have to acquire the basic knowledge of photography, the principles of photography, the operation of the camera with particular attention to the clinical photographic instruments.
Applying knowledge and understanding
The student must be able to apply the photographic knowledge acquired, demonstrating that they have gained the necessary skills to use the available cameras independently.
Making judgements
The student must be able to use the acquired knowledge to evaluate images, identify any framing and exposure errors, and correct them independently.
Communication skills
The student must be able to describe the topics covered during the course with appropriate language proficiency.
Learning skills
The knowledge acquired during the theoretical lessons will be applied in practical activities, where the student will be asked to perform standardized extraoral and intraoral shots using dental photographic aids.
No specific prerequisites are required.

Lectures with slides on the blackboard, practical demonstrations of the cameras present in the clinic, photography exercises in the classroom and in the department of dental unit
The teaching materials presented during the course will be made available in PDF format on the Teams channel of the course.
Oral Exam. The assessment includes the evaluation of the images taken by the student during the practical exercises in class. The exam grade will be expressed as pass or fail.
