Knowledge in Partial and Total oral rehabilitation techniques
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING : At the end of the course, students will have to know and understand the main prosthetic topics of both total and partial prosthesis.
APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: At the end of the course, students will demonstrate knowledge and ability to understand the concepts and fundamental principles on which the total and partial mobile restorative prosthesis is based and to apply the concepts to the prosthetic topics.
MAKING JUDGEMENTS: At the end of the course, students should be able to collect and interpret clinically relevant data by providing appropriate prosthetic judgments.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: At the end of the course, students must be able to communicate information, ideas and solutions to clinical problems to colleagues, patients and study staff.
LEARNING SKILLS : At the end of the course, students must apply the minimum knowledge, skills and competences described in the syllabus and demonstrate a sufficient degree of autonomy in learning the updates.
KNOWLEDGE AND COMPREHENSION : students will have to know and understand the items of the restorative dentistry.
KNOWLEDGE AND COMPREHENSION APPLICATION SKILLS : students will be able to argue about the restorative problems.

To get through the course of Conservative Dentistry.
To know dental anatomy, physiology, gnatohology and pathology
922ME-3
The program provides for the treatment of complex conservative restorations up to the border with the Prosthesis, analyzing the single clinical-operative aspects starting from the key symptom of dentinal hyperesthesia and from the right diagnosis setting and therapeutic plan; the necessary pre-restorative treatments and the choice and optimal execution of the restorations will be examined, safeguarding the pulp and taking into account the dental biomechanics.
922ME-4
The course program examines the corono-radicular anatomy and the endodontic system for single series of teeth, the histology and the pulpo-dentinal pathophysiology, also analyzed from a radiographic point of view, for the purpose of understanding the pulpo-periodontal emergencies and how manage them technically in an isolated field. Therefore, manual instrumentation techniques are examined with particular regard to step-back, the use of which is still necessary.
922ME-5
The program provides the treatment of the construction technique with removable and mobile prostheses in the rehabilitation of edentulous, for the understanding of the main methods available to the dentist.

The assessment of the student provides in progress and at the end of the course:
-written theoretical examination (31 multiple choice quizzes, divided between Endodontics and Conservatives) on the topics covered
-evaluation on endoblocs for endodontics and on resin or natural teeth mounted on arches for conservative
-oral debate
The examination mark is expressed in thirtieth and derives from the weighted result of the three tests listed, which must be passed each with at least 18/30. To obtain 30/30 cum laude the student must have passed the exam with 30/30 and have demonstrated particular interests and theoretical and/or practical skills relevant to the subject.
The evaluation grid adopted for the papers and the oral discussion is as follows:
- Excellent (30 - 30 and praise): excellent knowledge of subjects, excellent language properties,
excellent analytical ability; the/ the student/ it is able to apply the knowledge brilliantly
theoretical to concrete cases.
- Very good (27 - 29): good knowledge of subjects, remarkable language properties,
good analytical ability; the/the student/she is able to apply the knowledge correctly
theoretical to concrete cases.
- Good (24-26): good knowledge of the main topics, good language properties; lo/la
student/she shows an adequate ability to apply theoretical knowledge to concrete cases.
- Satisfactory (21-23): l/the student/she does not fully master the subjects
of teaching, while possessing the fundamental knowledge; however, it shows
satisfactory language properties and sufficient ability to apply theoretical knowledge to
concrete cases.
- Sufficient (18-20): minimum knowledge of the main subjects of teaching and
technical language, limited ability to adequately apply theoretical knowledge to cases
concrete.
- Insufficient: the student/student does not have an acceptable knowledge of the contents of the
different topics of the program.
The final grade of the module comes from the summation of the votes of the three tests.
After the performance of partial tests, the results of which will be published using the IT tool «Partial tests» provided by the Esse3 platform, there shall be a single final appeal in which the Commission shall verify the overall results of the integrated teaching and record-keeping.
In the case of partial tests, the student, in order to pass the exam related to the teaching, must obtain an assessment 18 in each of the partial tests, will not be able to refuse the outcome of the partial test, but only the grade of the entire integrated Course and, in this case, it shall repeat all the partial tests.
The Student must register for the online exam of the partial test on ESSE3. The vote of the partial test is valid until the extraordinary session of the academic year of reference.
The final grade of the integrated course exam derives from the weighted average, then weighted on the CFUs of each module, obtained in the individual partial tests. For the purposes of the definition of the average, the value of 1 point is attributed to any praise obtained in the partial tests, that is, the mark of 30 and praise in the partial tests corresponds numerically to the score of 31. To give praise to the final exam mark, it will be necessary that the weighted average obtained by the student in the partial tests related to the various modules is >30.5.
