Syllabus

Knowledge and understanding: at the end of the course, students will have to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the fundamental concepts and principles of the prevention of accidents and occupational diseases Ability to apply knowledge and understanding: at the end of the course, students must be able to identify the most appropriate approaches and tools for managing health and safety in the workplace Making judgements: at the end of the course, students will have to demonstrate that they have not only acquired knowledge and concepts, but also that they are able to provide appropriate judgments Communication skills: at the end of the course, students must be able to express themselves and argue appropriately through the specific terminology acquired with the lessons provided, the teaching material and/or the reference text Learning ability: at the end of the course, students will have to demonstrate that they are able to apply the knowledge, skills and minimum competences described in this Syllabus

Knowledge of the fundamental elements of chemistry, physics and biology. Basic knowledge of the elements of the Italian Constitution and of the legislation on which the Italian State is based. Knowledge of the Italian language (used in teaching), be able to use the Internet in order to search for technical documentation. Know the main programs of word processing and data analysis/recording (at least spreadsheets and word processing).

Objectives for the prevention technician depending on his role; Concept of accident and occupational disease; Analysis of the situation in which the company operates; Institutions/Enti with which one is confronted; Setting up of prevention activities.

The approach of the prevention technician when entering a new company; Concept of accident and occupational disease); Context analysis and data sources; The Prevention System in the workplace (who does what, duties of managers and supervisors, system of traceability of actions and traceability models); Supervisory and control structures; The activity on request and initiative; Procedures as a working tool in investigations following accidents and occupational diseases; The setting up of a sector intervention; Examples of interventions carried out by the Supervisory Body.

Frontal lessons, role-playing exercises, discussion on experiences of interventions carried out, in collaboration with ASUGI SCPSAL Prevention Technicians



Oral examination: it is divided into at least three questions concerning the topics covered. The vote is expressed in thirtieths. During the test the student will have to demonstrate that he has acquired the fundamental concepts concerning the role of the TdP and the ability to link the various topics covered in the course. During the oral test, the student must demonstrate that he or she is able to clearly express the knowledge acquired, demonstrating that he or she fully understands it.
