Syllabus

D1 - Knowledge and Understanding:
The student will have to know and understand the general principles of health care relationship and the theoretical refe rences (ICF and Guidelines), which based on the logopedic assessment lead the aphasia and communication therapy planning while respecting the needs of each patient; they will have to know and understand the main logopedic approaches in aphasiology and acquired communicative disorders. They will also have to know and understand the foundational principles and modalities for communicating with a person with aphasia and their care giver. Finally, they will have to know and understand the basic principles for caring with a person with apraxia and acalculia.
D2 - Ability to Apply Knowledge and Understanding
The student will apply his or her knowledge and understanding of aphasiology and communicative disorders with adult patients in the analysis and identification of the specific distortions and linguistic-communicative alterations in order to capably elaborate a logopedic intervention that respects the needs of the individual patient in a bio-psycho-social approach. They will use their knowledge and understanding of aphasia and Acalculia to appropriately choose and use various assessment tools and plan the logopedic treatment. They will be able to plan a rehabilitative project and compile a logopedic account.
