Knowledge and understanding:
The student must know the assessment tools and self-assessment questionnaires for speech disorders currently available and validated for Italian; will have to know the dysarthria subtypes on the basis of the different classifications, the levels of severity, the different scales of outcome of dysarthria and the different treatment methodologies
Ability to apply knowledge and understanding:
Use the knowledge acquired to be able to conduct the structured assessment and, through the analysis of the data emerging from the administration of the tests integrated with those emerging from the qualitative - functional assessment, draw up the speech therapy balance, plan the treatment and the objectives that can be reached in the short, medium term and long term, identifying the priority dysfunctional locus of intervention.
Basic knowledge of the anatomy of the central and peripheral nervous system. Knowledge of the anatomy of the phono-articulatory system

• Dysarthria: definition
• Classification of dysarthria on the basis of neurological pathology, on perceptual aspects, by lesion site
• The different subtypes of dysarthria: spastic, flaccid, lesion of the first neuron of motion, hypokinetic, hyperkinetic, ataxic and mixed;
• Assessment of dysarthria: neuromotor alterations, language characteristics, assessment test
• Self-assessment questionnaires
• Re-education of acquired dysarthria: objectives, methodological criteria and types of treatments
