An Additional Learning Requirement (OFA) is a pathway assigned to you if, during an entrance test or initial assessment, you do not achieve the minimum score required in a specific subject area or fail to meet certain prerequisites for your study programme. Its purpose is to help you address any gaps and better prepare for your academic journey.

If you have not completed your Additional Educational Requirements (OFA) within the first year of your degree course, you can temporarily enrol in the second year, but you will only be able to take your second-year exams if you have completed your OFA within the set deadline. 

If you do not pass the OFA within the set deadline, you will be enrolled as a first-year student in a supplementary year. This means that you will not be able to attend any second-year courses and therefore you will not be allowed to sit any second-year exams.

How to Fulfil the Additional Learning Requirement (OFA)

The Additional Learning Requirement (OFA) will be determined based on a statistical analysis of the partial test results of candidates who qualify in the first ranking list. The criterion defining this requirement is a score equal to or lower than 25% of the maximum score in the partial tests for the subject designated to assess initial preparation (Biology).

Candidates who score at or below this threshold in this subject will be enrolled with an Additional Learning Requirement. This reference value will also be used to establish any OFA for candidates who may be admitted in subsequent selection phases after the publication of the first ranking list.

You can fulfil the OFA through personalised remedial plans arranged under the responsibility of the lecturer and/or by attending specific remedial courses, including online courses, at the discretion of the programme.

The OFA will be automatically considered fulfilled upon passing the final exam of the first-year integrated course that includes the module(s) subject to evaluation. If you do not fulfil the OFA, you will be enrolled as a part-time student in the following academic year.
