Syllabus

Knowledge and understanding : The student will have to show good understending of treatment options For main pathologies of: o hepatic, o oesophageal, o gastric, o bilio pancreatic, o intestinal, o malabsorption syndromes Capability to apply knowledge and understanding The student will have to demonstrate knowledge and individual evaluation of gastroenteric pathologies and also demonstrate understanding treatment foundations Independent assessment The students will have to express ability to apply their learning demonstrating to speculate according to the specific logic of the subject. They will have to be able to identify functional correlation between different organs and to summarise the information to the chosen organ At the end of the course, students have to acquire communication and argumentative skills appropriate to the context (specialist and non-specialist scientific field), strengthening and encouraging the ability to refer both to colleagues and experts, both to the general population

Minimum prerequisites to successfully complete the course are a good understanding of anatomical and physio pathological principles of gastro enteric apparatus

oral examination, production of a clinical case and its oral discussion The final mark is expressed in thirtieths. The evaluation grid adopted is the following: -Excellent (30 -30 cum laude): excellent knowledge of the topics, excellent language skills, excellent analytical skills; the student is able to brilliantly apply theoretical knowledge to concrete cases. -Very good (27 -29): good knowledge of the topics, remarkable language skills, good analytical skills; the student is able to correctly apply theoretical knowledge to concrete cases. -Good (24-26): good knowledge of the main topics, good command of the language; the student shows an adequate ability to apply theoretical knowledge to concrete cases. - Satisfactory (21-23): the student does not show full command of the main subjects of teaching, while possessing the fundamental knowledge; however, s/he shows satisfactory language skills and sufficient ability to apply theoretical knowledge to concrete cases. -Sufficient (18-20): minimum knowledge of the main subjects of teaching and of the technical language, limited ability to adequately apply theoretical knowledge to concrete cases.
