Syllabus

Assessment and management of the main Cardiological Emergencies Applied knowledge and understanding: The Course aims to make students understand the clinical pictures characterised by Thoracic Pain; Syncope and Acute Dyspnoea; Autonomy of judgement: At the end of the course, students will be able to critically frame various acute clinical pictures such as Acute Coronary Syndromes, Pulmonary Embolism, Aortic Aortic Syndromes, Acute Pericarditis, Cardiac Tamponade and Major Arrhythmias and their ECG pictures. Communication skills: At the end of the course, students will be able to develop and mature a strongly integrated approach to the patient, critically evaluating the elements of complexity, projecting the careful anamnestic and semeiological reconnaissance to the formulation of a diagnostic hypothesis also in the multidisciplinary field with colleagues of different specialities in the comparison of diagnostic-instrumental investigations. Ability to learn: At the end of the course students will be able to apply an approach that pays attention to the real informative value of investigations and allows rapid differential diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

Will be delivered informations to strengthen specific skills in the setting of cardiovascular diseases to achieve knowledge, expertise, interpersonal attitudes and attention to appropriateness and sustainability in the emergency context. To achieve these goals during the course will be used also explicative clinical scenarios.
