(1) Integrate clinical knowledge, notions of laboratory medicine and radiology, in order to learn how to make diagnosis. (2) Learn what is required for a useful diagnostic approach by clinical scenarios. (3) Acquire technical and non-technical skills.
(4) In addition to knowledge and understanding, and their clinical application, the course aims to make students acquire the ability of making judgements, communications skills, learning skills.
Clinical knowledge acquired in the previous years. To have passed the MBPE exam of previous years.
The program focuses on the following points: 1) Development of knowledge of the pathophysiologic basis of diseases (see CI. Fisopatologia Medica e Chirurgica) 2) the methodology of clinical reasoning.
Contents of (1) BMJ learning modules, (2) clinical scenarios, (3) meetings.
Harrison's principles of internal medicine.
Slides and additional teaching material will be uploaded into the moodle platform. Lessons will be recorded on Teams.
The topics of BMJ learining modules will be chosen in class. The program of the clinical scenarios and meetings is communicated during the year.
Use of (1) BMJ Learning modules; (2) clinical scenarios on patient simulators; (3) multidisciplinary meetings.. Slides and additional material will be uploaded into moodle platform. Lessons will be recorded.

There will be a single, integrated examination for the entire course EBM, based on 21 multiple choice questions, where 7 will be based on BMJ learining modules (these questions will be in english), 7 will be based on the clinical scenarios on a patient simulator, and 7 will be based on multidisciplinary meetings. The examination will be held in class via the moodle platform. The duration of the exam is 25 minutes.
20-21 points=very good (excellent knowledge)
17-19 points=distinct (very good knowledge)
14-16 points=good (good knowledge)
13 points=discreet (fairly good knowledge)
12 points=sufficient (sufficient knowledge)
