Syllabus

• Knowledge and understanding: Know the main methods of assessing specific risks through simulations on various software and cards
• Applying knowledge and understanding: Knowing how to apply and interpret risk assessment methods in various working situations through real cases/simulations and group work with final discussion
• Making judgments; Knowing how to collect and interpret the data deemed useful to correctly determine the proposed risk factors and knowing how to choose the most correct method
• Communication skills; Knowing how to communicate information and risks through an appropriate vocabulary for each safety figure present in the company (Employer, Worker, supervisor...)
• Ability to learn (learning skills).
Develop the ability to independently criticize different business contexts with a view to risk assessment and related prevention and protection measures


No prerequisites

Various work cases and related risks will be addressed
Setting up Risk Assessment Document. Case studies of various models and standardized procedures
Case studies on floor plans of various workplaces and in-depth analysis of the minimum requirements of workplaces
Case studies on chemical and biological risk assessments - pandemic emergency
Case studies on risk assessments manual handling of loads, manual handling of patients, pulling and pushing, handling of upper limbs
Case studies on managing work-related stress and aggression
Study of safety level monitoring activities in a company

There is no specific program for particular groups of students

Case studies on setting up risk assessment documents and standardized procedures
Exercises on floor plans of various workplaces and in-depth analysis of the minimum requirements of workplaces

Laboratory activities intended as exercises, simulations, group work

Use of interactive programs such as mentimeter and similar, videos, photos, floor plans, slides, spreadsheets.

Final written test on a practical case with the formulation of 10 questions with open and multiple answers.
Each correct answer will be awarded a maximum of 3 points. The final grade will be formulated based on the final score obtained.
