Teacher's notes

-The course is developed starting from the concept of environmental sustainability and correct use of resources.
-The regulatory references of the sector at a European and in particular Italian level are represented.
- The different types of waste and the correlation with the raw materials from which they were generated are presented.
- The physical, chemical and biological properties of the waste are indicated for the purposes of their subsequent reuse and/or recovery.
- Subsequently we mention the waste collection and transport system.
- The unit operations for waste transformation are described with reference to both the physical and chemical principles and the process equipment.
-Thermal transformations for energy recovery (combustion, pyrolysis, gasification) are described below, together with biological transformations for material recovery (composting, anaerobic digestion).
The main forms of environmental pollution are illustrated.
An overview of the permits required for industrial activities is provided.

Frontal lessons and technical tour.
