Syllabus

This course aims to give students the basic surgical knowledge useful to do their future profession at the highest level of competence. In fact the surgery practise is an important part of a Igienist profession even if it is related to a specific area. Important aspects connected with surgery not only from a theoretical point of view but also practical are for example how to prepare a patient for a surgical operation. The surgical principles in fact are always the same, even if the involved area is particular and specific.

Informative-didactic material on the Moodle platform

The student evaluation includes an oral interview during which the student must demonstrate that he has achieved the expected learning outcomes on a theoretical basis. There are, at most, three questions.
The exam score is assigned by means of a mark expressed out of thirty.
The exam is passed with a grade of 18/30.
To achieve the maximum score of 30/30 cum laude the student must demonstrate that he has acquired excellent knowledge of all the topics covered.
The evaluation grid adopted is as follows:
- Excellent (30 - 30 cum laude): excellent knowledge of the topics, excellent language skills, excellent analytical ability; the student is able to brilliantly apply theoretical knowledge to concrete cases.
- Very good (27 - 29): good knowledge of the topics, notable language skills, good analytical ability; the student is able to correctly apply theoretical knowledge to concrete cases.
- Good (24-26): good knowledge of the main topics, fair command of language; he/she
student shows an adequate ability to apply theoretical knowledge to concrete cases.
- Satisfactory (21-23): the student does not show full mastery of the main topics of the course, despite possessing the fundamental knowledge; however, he shows satisfactory language skills and sufficient ability to apply theoretical knowledge to concrete cases.
- Sufficient (18-20): minimal knowledge of the main teaching topics and technical language, limited ability to adequately apply theoretical knowledge to concrete cases.
- Insufficient: the student does not have acceptable knowledge of the contents of the different topics of the program.
There are no partial tests.
