The general objectives of teaching are:
- To analyse the concept of vulnerability and its implications for the ethics of care.
- Describe the implications of care ethics in nursing care.
- Recognize the risk factors for the development of moral distress (DM) in nursing - Identify the consequences of DM on the right to health of professionals,
of the people assisted.
At the end of the course, in accordance with the Dublin Descriptors, to pass the student/s exam he/she must demonstrate:
1) KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
- To analyse the concept of vulnerability and its implications for the ethics of care.
- Describe the implications of care ethics in nursing care.
2) APPLIED KNOWLEDGE AND COMPREHENSION:
- Recognize the risk factors for developing moral distress in nursing
- Identify the consequences of DM on the right to health of professionals,
of the people assisted.
3) AUTONOMY AND JUDGEMENT: At the end of the course, students will have to demonstrate that they have not only acquired knowledge and concepts but also that they are able to make appropriate judgements.
4) COMMUNICATIVE SKILLS: To be able to use correctly and appropriately the technical-professional language in order to clearly and unambiguously explain the knowledge acquired and the reasoning developed.
5) ABILITY TO LEARN: Being able to integrate the information provided in class by independently drawing on authoritative sources of information (e.g. textbooks) and be able to self-assess their level of preparation and ability to express an organized thought before taking the profit exam.

The PowerPoint presentations, links to videos and videos related to the teaching units are available on the computer platforms moodle@units.it and Microsoft Teams.
The final test involves the preparation of a written text, to be delivered via Moodle by the date of the call for which you have registered, on ESEA 3. The final assessment will be qualitative with APPROVED and NOT APPROVED. An incomplete paper, out of topic and presented in a confused and/or inappropriate language will be considered NOT APPROVED. At the end of the lecture cycle, the topics from which to develop the requested paper will be indicated. The outcome will be communicated via Moodle platform, after the date of the call for registration, with the indications related to the mandate.
