The Course

  • Why choose this course?

    This Course has three curriculums: geological exploration, georesources, and applied and environmental geology. Lectures and workshops introduce students to advanced topics in geology as well as theoretical and practical skills that are essential for any work or research involving the analysis, enhancement and management of a territory.

  • Educational objectives

    Graduates in Geosciences know how to plan and manage territories and natural assets, accounting for all their different aspects, including the characterisation of the earth system and the use of geomaterials (including water resources) in the various geotechnical, geochemical, minero-petrographic fields.

  • Career prospects

    Graduates can work in public administration, private institutions, business companies and professional agencies as well as in the world of research.

  • Final examination and degree

    Graduates obtain a bachelor’s degree (EQF 6) which attests to the skills acquired by the student, valid at national level and also recognised at an international level. The final examination consists of the defence of an experimental thesis in front of a board of examiners.
