Graduation: specific information

Degree Application

To be admitted to the final examination for the degree, which qualifies you to practise as a dental hygienist, you must:

  • Have regularly attended all courses
  • Have completed all internships, achieving 100% of the required hours and passing the final internship exam for each year of the programme
  • Have passed all required exams
  • Have submitted all the necessary documents to the Student Careers Office within the deadlines

Final Examination

To obtain your degree, you must pass a final examination consisting of:

  • A practical test demonstrating the technical and practical skills acquired during the internship
    • A positive assessment (at least 3/5) in the practical test is essential for admission to the thesis discussion.
  • The presentation and discussion of a thesis, which can be either:
    • An experimental thesis
    • A compilative thesis, developed originally by the student under the guidance of an academic supervisor
    • The thesis may also be written in English.

The final examination takes place in two sessions:

  • The first in October/November
  • The second in March/April

Graduation Streaming

As decided by the Department Council, Graduation Sessions held in the Aula Magna “Rita Levi Montalcini” at Cattinara Hospital will be streamed on the Department's YouTube channel. Graduands who do not wish their thesis discussion to be streamed must explicitly withhold their consent from the Programme Coordinator by the thesis upload deadline. In such cases, candidates will be scheduled in a way that minimises inconvenience for other candidates during the Graduation Session. The proclamation will, in any case, be streamed for all new graduates.

The session dates refer to the starting day of the graduation sessions, which could continue on the following days depending on the number of graduating students.

Summer session

No graduation sessions are scheduled for the summer session.

Autumn session
