The purpouse of the Degree Internship is to allow students to acquire specific skills and knowledge in view of the preparation of the thesis, sometimes also allowing research and experimentation work. The program and training objectives of the Degree Internship obviously vary from student to student based on the topic of the thesis. Each student will agree on a specific program and training objectives with their supervisor.

Be regularly enrolled in the 5th year of the course.

The Students have 7 credits available in the 5th year (175 hours, 1 credit = 25 hours of professional activity) to dedicate to the preparation of the degree thesis (i.e. degree internship) at clinical or basic university facilities.

Any texts indicated by the Professor/Supervisor of the thesis.

The degree internship program obviously varies from student to student based on the topic of the thesis. Each student will agree on a specific program and training objectives with their supervisor.

The Student, who intends to carry out the Degree Internship, must submit to the Professor / supervisor under whose guidance he would like to prepare the thesis a formal request accompanied by his curriculum (list of exams taken and grades obtained, in each of them, list of activities followed, internships in laboratories or clinics or any other activity carried out for training purposes). After the supervisor has indicated his willingness to assume responsibility for the control and certification of the activities that the student will carry out for the preparation of the thesis, the student will submit a formal internship request to the Director of the Structure itself, endorsed by the supervisor and accompanied by all the documentation, required by laws and agreements, which regulate student attendance in individual structures.

Progress of the course, completion of the degree thesis. Before starting the graduate internship, the student must collect the appropriate booklet in which to record the internship hours. The 5th year graduate internship is considered completed upon achievement of 175 hours of professionalizing activity (1 CFU = 25 hours of professionalizing activity). Upon reaching the hours, the Student must return the booklet for checking and endorsemen. The final examination will take into account the attendance and CFUs achievement and will have an "approved vs. non-approved status" by the Coordinator of the Course
