Syllabus

To integrate clinical knowledge. Learning what is required for a useful diagnostic approach with a patient simulator. Acquiring technical and non-technical skills. Experiencing medical simulation.

Knowledge of the previous years of teaching materials.

The program focuses on the following points: 1) Development of knowledge of the pathophysiologic basis of disease 2) the methodology of clinical reasoning.

e-Learning on BMJ education.
Materials will be provided via the moodle platform.
Contents of clinical scenarios.Harrison's principles of internal medicine.

The program depends on the medical topics chosen during the lessons.

FIRST SEMESTER. BMJ LEARNING MODULES. Application of interactive teaching method using in the classroom e-Learning, in the BMJ-education network modules, with the presence of expert tutors in the various topics covered.
SECOND SEMESTER. CLINICAL SCENARIOS WITH PATIENT SIMULATORS. Small group work.

There will be a single, integrated examination for the entire course EBM, based on 21 multiple choice questions, where 7 will be based on BMJ learining modules (these questions will be in english), 7 will be based on the clinical scenarios on a patient simulator, and 7 will be based on multidisciplinary meetings. The examination will be held in class via the moodle platform. The exam will last 25 minutes.
20-21 points = ottimo (excellent knowledge); 17-19 points = distinto (remarkable knowledge); 14-16 = buono (good knowledge); 13 points = discreto (fairly good knowledge); 12 points = sufficiente (just enough knowledge to pass).
