Syllabus

Knowledge and understanding: Provide the skills and knowledge necessary to recognize the instruments at the disposition of dental hygienist and in particular the manual instruments needed to remove the plaque and tartar above and under the gingival. Practical application of the acquired knowledge:provide the necessary information for the correct use of instrumentation and maintenance of the instruments.
Recognize and treat dentinal hypersensitivity.
Provide indications of the properties of the antiseptics on the commerce, characteristics and usage guidelines.

The student must be able to carry out the ability required in the previous module with the passing of the expected theoretical exam

Classroom lectures and support for learning theory and the achievement of the manual skills required, practical exercises on dummies with the use of the appropriate manual instrument

Classroom teaching materials will be provided on electronic support in support of classroom teaching

The expected final examination will take place by oral examination. The student must demonstrate the ability to answer questions related to the various topics dealt with during the theoretical lessons, knowing to associate appropriately concepts learned in the previous module. Two exams per session are expected during the academic year, respecting the period of academic silence.
