The general objective of the course is to provide the knowledge to understand the migratory phenomena, the regulatory discipline and how to provide nursing care in a context in which different cultures interact in order to personalize interventions based on the values and intercultural differences of the person.
At the end of the course, in accordance with the Dublin Descriptors, in order to pass the exam, the student must demonstrate that:
Knowledge and understanding: knowing and having understood the principles of transcultural nursing based on equity and justice, taking into account ethical, religious and cultural values, as well as the gender and social conditions of the person.
Applied knowledge and understanding: knowing how to apply knowledge by describing acceptance and respect for each individual as a unique and unrepeatable being; knowledge of priority health problems affecting certain cultural groups; assessment of the cultural substrate and beliefs relating to healthcare practices.
Making judgments - Having developed the ability to plan a care plan compatible with each individual's health belief system.
Communication skills - Knowing how to use technical-professional language correctly and appropriately to clearly and unambiguously present the knowledge acquired and the reasoning developed.
Ability to learn - Have been able to integrate the information provided in class by independently drawing on authoritative information sources (e.g. textbooks), as well as being able to self-assess one's level of preparation and one's ability to express a organized thinking before taking the profit exam.

Interactive frontal lessons with the aid of projections of files in Power Point or compatible format elaborated by the teacher. Exercises on exam problems.

Written test consisting of 12 questions, 10 multiple choice and 2 open-ended questions. Duration of the test 1 hour. The final grade is expressed out of thirty according to the following criteria: 2 points for each correct multiple answer and 0 points if an incorrect or missing answer, 5 points for each open answer if the student proves to have acquired an excellent knowledge of the topic covered and to have answered exhaustively and with excellent language skills. A score of less than 5 is also foreseen for open answers up to 1 point if the answer is incomplete, only partially correct and the topic is presented in a confused manner and with little or no language skills, 0 points if the student is not responding or does not demonstrate acceptable knowledge of the contents
