Students should at least have passed the exams of the first year courses and micro and macroeconomics.
Economic Geography between past and present: 1. The evolution of geogrphical discipline: fom description to GST.
2. The birth of spatial analysis and moderno economic geography.
3. The basical concepts: space, territory, landscape, region, environment.
4. Introduction to the main theories and methods of the discipline.
5. Urban economic geography.
6. Geography of population: migration, the demographic transition.
The main theories of spatial localization and the development of transports and trade:
1. The theory of Von Thunen
2. The theory of Weber
3. The theory of Christaller.
4. Geogrphy and international trade.
5. Transport Geography.
6 The environmental issue.
7. Territorial imbalances and rural and urban planning.
The programm for attending students is the slides on teams plus chapters: 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9 from Morelli's book.
The programm for not attending students is the whole Morelli's book, but chapter 11

Attending students could be given integration or replacement of part of the official programm
Oral examination on the whole programm by means of overall and specific questions. It is possible to replace or to integrate part of the programm, but only with the previous approval of the project by the professor.
