The first module of the course aims to provide students with a basic knowledge of the Italian legislative system regarding business activity and in-depth knowledge regarding Italian corporate law. Throughout the course, the focus will be on developing the necessary critical ability to analyze issues related to Corporate Law.
To take the exam the students must have passed Introduction to Italian Law exam.
Introduction to Italian Company Law: - business activities and their forms; - the Business register; - partnerships and companies. Partnerships: - Simple partnership; - General partnership; - Limited partnership. Companies: - Joint-stock companies; - Limited liability companies. Common rules for companies: - Dissolution and liquidation; - Company groups; - Extraordinary transactions: transformations, mergers and divisions (hints).

The exam is in written form and consists of multiple-choice and open-ended questions.
